Vikings spend time with Iowa TE Noah Fant

The Vikings could be in the industry for a go-catching limited end with Kyle Rudolph becoming a doable cap casualty.

It appears like the Vikings are accomplishing their due dillegence on the position. Per KSTP’s Darren Wolfson, Vikings GM Rick Spielman used time with Iowa limited end Noah Fant on Monday. Fant has been an absolute combine star.

Fant ran a 4.5 40-yard dash and could be an extraordinary playmaker in the proper situation.

About the previous two seasons at Iowa, Fant caught a blended 69 catches for 1,013 yards and 18 touchdowns.

He’s projected as a late-initially, early second-spherical choose in most mock drafts.

Which is to some degree problematic for the Vikings taking into consideration they have the 18th-overall choose and the 50th-overall to open the draft.

Eighteen could possibly be a little bit early to get Fant, in particular given the team’s need to have for offensive line help. But by choose No. 50, Fant will almost certainly be gone.

If there’s everything we know about the NFL Draft, although, is that it is unpredictable and everything can come about.

If the Vikings handle the offensive line in cost-free agency prior to the draft, supporters will really feel far better if they determine to get a player like Fant with their initially-spherical choose.
